I am Kanye muthaf***ing West!” – NO-ONE tells Kanye how to express his art
If you type in “Kanye West is…” into Google, you get several autocomplete options, including “a douche”, “an idiot” and ”a gay fish” in reference to South Park’s excellent parody. The internet loves him, mainly because he is the gift that keeps on giving.
His bizarre hour-long BBC interview with Zane Lowe, where he barely let the Radio 1 presenter get a word in edgeways, garnered plenty of attention for his forthright views on a number of issues including black artists, fashion and his creative ambitions. Then came his Twitter feud with US talkshow host Jimmy Kimmel regarding a skit where the BBC interview was reenacted by two kids. It was enjoyable, but Kanye was furious, embarking on a social media rant only Kanye is capable of delivering.
He’s become a parody of himself, and that has only continued with this latest incident, which sees him throwing a fan out of his concert for telling him to take his mask off. It didn’t go down well with Kanye, who stopped midway through a song, and confronted the fan. “You can see my face on the internet every muthafuckin’ day,” he tells the crowd. He continues the performance, singing (if that’s the right word for it) about the mask incident. It’s all very moving and dramatic, and the audience are lapping it up, but then the fan shouts at him again to take his mask off. You don’t get two chances at a Kanye West concert, and she’s ejected from the arena.
“Don’t fucking heckle me. I’M KANYE MUTHAFUCKIN’ WEST.” You certainly are, Kanye.
